Monster Poultry Raffle Terms. 11th Oct, 2025
This raffle has been organised in good faith, as a way for winning participants to add quality new, heritage breed, birds to their flocks, while fundraising for Central Districts Poultry & Pigeon Club Inc. (hereafter know as CDPPC).
Bird pledgers agree to offer up good quality stock with no known issues. Bird pledgers take responsibility for describing the offered birds honestly in the online catalogue listing. The birds listed are owned by individual members and CDPPC takes no responsibility for them. Bird pledgers agree to supply the promised birds to the winner, or a suitable alternative, should something happen to the birds in the meantime. There is no guarantee the birds offered are of ‘show quality’.
Raffle Entrants: On buying a ticket and entering the raffle, raffle entrants commit to offering a good home to the birds should they win, with appropriate food, water and care (see MPI rules). CDPPC can offer advice on this but takes no responsibility. Once won, and birds enter their possession, all feed and care costs and responsibilities, transfer to the winner.
Winners will be drawn using an electronic random number picker on the advertised day, with witnesses. There will be the same number of draws as lots. 1st person drawn gets first pick of a single lot from the offered bird lots and it will then move to the 2nd, 3rd, etc. In this case a single lot will consist of 2 birds (either a breeding pair – male and female- or 2 females).
CDPPC aims to complete the process of contacting and matching all winners and birds within a week of the raffle draw, using the number or email supplied at time of ticket purchase. Please ensure you have supplied the correct contact information.
If you receive a message confirming you have won and asking for your bird selection, please reply promptly so the Club can arrange this for you and move on to the next person in the draw list. If you are likely to be on holiday when the draw takes place, you may email the Club with an ‘in case of winning’ bird selection preferences, to club.cdppc@outlook.com, based on the online catalogue, in advance of the draw. Otherwise, if we don’t get a reply from a notified winner within 24 hours of the draw, to make their prize choice, CDPPC will select for the winner by pulling remaining lots out of a hat.
This raffle is operating in the Central Districts Area and surrounds. Birds are located mostly in Manawatū, Horowhenua with a few in Tararua District. Where possible, CDPPC will arrange delivery of the birds to local winners, or collection, by mutual agreement. If out of region, the winner might need to make alternative arrangements at their own expense and by mutual agreement (e.g. Pet Bus if available and convenient for the bird pledger). Birds to be placed with new owners within a month of raffle end. If no contact made by winner within a week of the raffle end, CDPPC will presume the winner is no longer interested - the birds will automatically become property of the Club, either to be re-drawn or on-sold to raise funds.
Thank you for supporting our fundraiser. All proceeds from this raffle will go to our 2026 Show costs.
